Favorable Conditions
Infection is favored by temperatures of 58-73°F (optimum 68°F) with prolonged leaf wetness from rain. Ascospore release requires rain events at 60°F+. Conidia germinate in 5-8 hours of leaf wetness at 60-70°F. Dry summers reduce secondary spread significantly.
