Quercus x bimundorum (Fagaceae) is a hybrid between Q. alba (white oak) and Q. robur (English oak). The best-known selection is 'Crimson Spire', a columnar tree reaching 30 to 40 feet tall with a narrow, upright form. The foliage resembles white oak but with some English oak characteristics.

This hybrid combines the adaptability of English oak with the native vigor of white oak. 'Crimson Spire' is grown for its narrow columnar form, which suits street plantings and tight spaces. It grows in full sun on well-drained soil. Hardy in Zones 4a to 8b.
