Ivory Spear® is the narrowest of J. Frank Schmidt's Spear™ family (7 ft mature spread) and fills an even tighter niche than 'Coral Spear' or 'Raspberry Spear'. White flowers from deep pink buds and dramatic bright cherry red persistent fruit make it visually striking despite the narrow form. Disease resistance is rated Excellent across all four major diseases per JFS. For PNW urban-tree applications, entry-flanking pairs, and the tightest residential corners, Ivory Spear is the strongest narrow-columnar choice in the white-flowering category — narrower than 'Adirondack' (10 ft spread) and disease- resistance-equal. Sourcing note: as a recent JFS introduction (PP31,076), Ivory Spear is sold under patent license; availability through PNW wholesale and design-grade nurseries. Cross-reference with 'Adirondack' (similar narrow upright form, 18 × 10 ft, also white-flowered, also excellent disease resistance — the established alternative to Ivory Spear in PNW commerce).
