An evergreen shrub native to northeast India (Manipur, Nagaland), reaching 5 feet in cultivation. Dense clusters of 30 or more flowers, sulfur to dark yellow or sometimes white. Notable for bold, large foliage.

Among the most impressive large-leaved yellow-flowered species. The massive trusses of 30+ flowers are a standout display. Requires a sheltered site with ample moisture. Acidic, well-drained soil. Twenty-one diseases and 15 pests documented at the genus level. All parts contain grayanotoxins and are toxic if ingested.
