Rhododendron 'Rosamundi'
Ericaceae · broadleaf evergreen shrub · introduced
Last updated
A broadleaf evergreen shrub, slow-growing and compact, reaching 4 ft in 10 years with a mounded form. Flowers are very light pink, produced in profusion on ball-shaped trusses, opening very early in the season. Buds are reddish, adding pre-bloom color interest.
One of the earliest-blooming elepidote cultivars. The abundant, soft pink trusses on a tidy, mounded plant make it effective for foundation plantings and mixed borders. Twenty-one diseases and 15 pests documented at the genus level. All parts are toxic if ingested.
